Helsel rolls 10th career 300 game

CHIP HELSEL 10th 300 game CHIP HELSEL 10th 300 game Chip Helsel, a 50-year-old right hander from Roaring Spring, rolled the 10th 300 of his bowling career while substituting for Thee Team in the Monday Mixed League.

Helsel, who bowled in Huntingdon two years ago before moving to Roaring Spring, is bowling two nights a week at two different facilities in Altoona. It was his first night of the season in Huntingdon.

“I’ve been trying to work myself out of a slump,” Helsel noted. “I’ve been practicing a lot and working on my game.”

Helsel opened with a 195, then rolled the 300 before finishing with a 217 for a 7:12 series.
